Established in 1973 by Michael Budman and Don Green, the brand draws inspiration from the founders’ profound bond with Ontario’s Algonquin Park and the values it represents. Starting out in Toronto with a focus on crafting quality footwear, Roots expanded over time to offer an array of premium leather goods, outerwear, accessories, their signature salt & pepper sweatshirts, eco-friendly apparel made from natural fibers, and stylish home essentials. Every leather item is proudly produced in Canada at Roots’ own Toronto-based factory, ensuring craftsmanship and quality.
